KAREN L. KENDRICK, PH.D.

Dr. Karen Kendrick is the founder and CEO of Sapphire Advisors, LLC. She works with senior leaders to create leadership  strategies that support business growth and  personal transformation. She combines a strong emphasis on strategic and analytical thinking with sound business judgment and deep global expertise to deliver practical, high value outcomes.

Karen brings over 20 years of corporate experience in senior Human Resource positions at Allianz, The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, PepsiCo, and Dow Chemical where she addressed a variety of large-scale talent issues including senior executive development, succession management, employee engagement and retention, employer branding, diversity, organization redesign, and culture integration.

As Executive Vice President, Chief Learning Officer, for Allianz Global Investors of America L.P. (AGI), an investment management firm with over $1.2 trillion in assets and brands such as PIMCO and Oppenheimer Capital, Karen oversaw talent development, executive education, and organization development. She created global executive programs at Harvard Business School and IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland)  for the top 100 officers, and supported the development of a global sales academy.

 

While at The Walt Disney Company, as Vice President, Global Leadership and Organization Development, Karen was responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent worldwide. She led a global reorganization of Disney Consumer Product’s 14 business units, and a large scale employee retention initiative resulting in a 7% drop in turnover. She also implemented talent planning systems and training programs in Asia, Latin America, Europe, and North America.

While in various leadership and organization development positions with PepsiCo, Universal Studios, and Dow Chemical, Karen created state-of-the-art systems to help leaders develop talent, manage performance, and lead change. While at Taco Bell Corp (a former division of PepsiCo), Karen was part of cross-functional reengineering team focused on process improvements within Operations and Real Estate that were written about in Hammer & Champy’s seminal book, Reengineering the Corporation.

Throughout her career, Karen has coached senior executives taking on larger roles, transitioning to a foreign country, leading a new team, or aligning an existing team. In addition, she has helped numerous executives improve their leadership style, management skills, and communication skills.

Karen holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas. She serves as a guest lecturer in the business schools of the University of California at Los Angeles, University of Southern California, and University of California at Irvine. She is active in local philanthropy work and is a founding member of a global mentoring program for high school girls in Nairobi, Kenya.

ERIC FLAMHOLTZ, PH.D.

Dr. Flamholtz is Professor Emeritus in the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is also President of Management Systems Consulting Corporation, which he co-founded in 1978. He is the author of numerous books on management and leadership, including Changing the Game: Managing Organizational Transformations of the First, Second, and Third Kinds, and Growing Pains: Transitioning from an Entrepreneurship to a Professionally Managed Firm. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and an undergraduate degree from Hunter College.

 

MORGAN MCCALL JR., PH.D.

Dr. McCall is Professor Emeritus in the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Dr. McCall’s research focuses on the assessment, development, and derailment of executive talent, and he has authored numerous books on these topics, including The Lessons of Experience, High Flyers, and Developing Global Executives. Previously, he was Director of Research at the Center for Creative Leadership. He has served as an expert judge in Fortune’s ranking of the “Top Companies for Leaders” in North America, and is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University, and a B.A. from Yale University.

 

HERBERT ROGOVE, D.O., FACM, FACP

Dr. Rogove is a former Medical Director for InTouch Health and retired CEO/President of C3O Telemedicine Solutions, Inc., a turnkey medical solution for providing physician specialists remotely and helping hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions find the best technology solution for their telemedicine programs or networks. Dr. Rogove is a Critical Care specialist by training, having interned at both the Cleveland Clinic and the University of Southern California. He has founded and managed several intensive care, emergency medicine, and hospitalist practices, and has served in major administrative and clinical leadership roles at the teaching hospitals of the University of Pittsburgh and The Ohio State University. Dr. Rogove was previously a Vice-President for a 2,000 independent physician association and was appointed by the governor of Ohio to the Public Health Advisory Council.
